Our researcher Ester Serrão made an appearance in the largest national television debate to defend the importance of coastal vegetation in the context of climate change. Under the theme "The Silent Threat", the program was dedicated to climate change, highlighting the movement initiated by younger generations, which require action and behavior change in the present to safeguard their future.

A specialist in ecology and marine conservation, Ester Serrão stressed the importance of coastal vegetation - such as the marshes, sea grass meadows and macroalgae forests that we have on our coast - for the stability and protection of coastal areas.
