Exhibit ‘Aos Olhos do CCMAR’ will be launched at Mar Shopping Algarve
The exhibition resulting from the 4th Edition of the scientific photography contest that shows the work of our scientists will be launched on April 29, 2019 at Mar Shopping Algarve
The exhibition is an invitation to learn more about the research carried out at a center that is at the forefront of science. In this edition, the selection of the best stories and the most beautiful scenarios and scientific phenomena takes us on a trip through the Falkland Islands, Antarctica, Ria Formosa and the coast of Angola, and offers the opportunity to embark on a fishing trawler or peer through the microscope.
The contest gathered 50 photographs captured by CCMAR researchers, which were evaluated by independent juries composed by the students of the 12th grade Multimedia class of Tomás Cabreira High School and the professional photographer Ricardo Bernardo. There was also "people's choice" award, in which the public was able to vote through the CCMAR social networks.
"In the Eyes of CCMAR" (Aos Olhos do CCMAR) is an initiative that has the support of the Foundation for Science and Technology, the restaurant Tertúlia Algarvia and the Real Hotels.
Admission is free, and the exhibition can be visited on floor 0 of the Mar Shopping Algarve from the 29th of April.
