Antarctic fishes have undergone adaptive radiation in a constant low temperature environment and acquired specializations highly adapted to the specificities of their special environment. As climate change presses, the new environmental conditions will change ecosystems and test the limits of tolerance of these fishes. As part of the ongoing project “Notothenia” funded by the National Science and Technology of Portugal (FCT), the workshop brings together a group of experts in genomics and physiology:

• to discuss and frame results in the context of ongoing research on Antarctic Fish Physiology, Adaptation and Climate Change 
• to identify knowledge gaps and future research directions on Antarctic fish physiology  
• to promote interdisciplinary and international collaboration

We invite a limited number of participants (30) to join and contribute either with an oral presentation (15 min) or a scientific poster related to the topic of the workshop.

The registration is free but participants should handle their own travel and accommodation expenses.
