SPECIAL EDITION: Temperature, Torrents & Turtles
Sea turtles, like many reptiles have environmentally determined sex. For the past 18 years were have measured sea ratios of loggerhead (Caretta caretta) turtle sex ratios and nest temperatures. In the 2006 we added systematic measurement of green turtle (Chelonia mydas) hatchling sex ratios and opportunistically added leatherback (Dermochelys coriacea) for comparisons. The temperatures have been increasing, sex ratios are female biased, and hatchling anomalies are becoming more common.
The seminar will be held on February 19, at 13:30, online via Zoom platform.
