CCMAR researchers won the best oral communication award in a meeting in China
Our researchers from R2C2 group Rita Castilho, Jorge Palma, Miguel Correia and José Pedro Andrade in collaboration with Rupert Stacy (IMBrsea) and Anthony B. Wilson (Brooklyn College, CUNY), won the Best Oral Communication prize awarded at the SyngBio2021 conference, in China.
The team won the best presentation award with their paper "The enigma of Hippocampus guttulatus from Ria Formosa: genetic diversity and demographic bottleneck do not go hand in hand".
The SyngBio Meeting is an international academic conference aimed at promoting the research, protection and comprehensive utilization of Syngnathidae fishes and their habitats, and aims to reinforce the diversity conservation and sustainable utilization of global marine organisms.
