Last January 21^st, our researcher Lélia Matos participated in a scientific event, organized by the MIT Portugal Program at the Thalia Theatre, in Lisbon. In this event were presented the scientific advances of several projects and the expected contributions for Portugal.

The researcher presented the most recent data from the CoralOx project in the session "Earth System: Oceans to Near Space". The project aims to investigate the application of chromium isotopes in cold-water corals, as indicators of suboxic conditions. 

The event was also attended by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor, the MIT Portugal Program Directors and all the Portuguese researchers leading the projects of this program.
