On November 26-28, our PhD student Lisa Schüler and our researcher Gangadhar Katkam, from the MarBiotech group, participated in the international conference on carotenoid research and its applications in agri-food and health, EUROCAROTEN, which took place in Cyprus.

At the conference, Lisa presented her work Improvement of lutein and beta-carotene production by abiotic growth factors in a robust marine microalga Tetraselmis sp. CTP4 and Katkam presented a paper about the Design and development of a carotenoid enriched extract from microalgae using a liquid-liquid triphase system: its evaluation. Both works were carried out under the ALGARED+ project.
