Tell us a bit about the work you’ll be doing at CCMAR.

I was hired as an Entrepreneurship Officer, to implement knowledge management and innovation strategies under the Portuguese node of the EMBRC. In practical terms my job is, among other things, developing and implementing CCMAR's strategic plan for entrepreneurship, mapping of opportunities for start-up creation, identifying opportunities for patenting, licencing or/and commercialization.

What were you doing before you joined us?

I was a business consultant. I support: creation of new companies and new businesses, preparation of business plans, applications to European funds, obtaining bank financing, among others.

What interests and hobbies do you enjoy when you are not doing science?

I like fishing, I’m a singer (mainly fado) and I’m a member of Tertúlia Algarvia, an organization created to promote gastronomy, history and traditions of the region.
