Peritos em pescas reúnem no CCMAR

Termina hoje, no campus de Gambelas da UAlg, a reunião do consórcio FarFish que o CCMAR integra. Este consórcio reúne 21 parceiros, incluindo nove instituições de investigação, três empresas, cinco universidades e duas associações industriais de doze países europeus.

O “Livro Verde sobre a Pesca do Polvo no Algarve” é apresentado esta sexta-feira, 1 de Junho de 2018, pelo CCMAR, e resulta de dois anos e meio de trabalho que juntou à mesma mesa diversos intervenientes da pesca do polvo na região. O livro é um documento que compila as perspetivas de todos relativamente a diversos aspetos, incluindo a gestão desta pescaria.

We received two groups of high-school students with very special environmental projects. Always a pleasure to meet young people with good ideas!

Our researchers Bárbara Horta e Costa and Karim Erzini developed a new Regulation-Based Classification System for Marine Protected Areas that won a prize for the 2011-2012 call edition with the production of an animated video.

Our Doctor Vânia Baptista concluded her thesis, on the 30^th of October, about the Influence of oceanography and larvae behavior on the recruitment of temperate fishes.

Researchers from CCMAR have quantified the fish hatchery service that the Ria Formosa provides, valuing it at several tens of millions of euros per year.
