CCMAR recently became the host for a satellite office of Partnership for Observation of the Global Ocean (POGO). POGO's membership includes most of the world's leading ocean science and technology institutions and it is dedicated to promoting and advancing global ocean observation through innovation, capacity development, and outreach/advocacy.This presentation will introduce POGO’s main activities, training and funding opportunities, and ways in which the CCMAR community can engage with POGO.

The seminar will be held on February 28, at 13:30, at the University of Algarve, Gambelas Campus - Complexo Pedagógico, Anfiteatro C, and also online, via Zoom.

Lilian is the Scientific Coordinator of POGO. She is specialised in observational oceanography and engaged in several capacity development initiatives
