Diogo Paulo has a Phd in Marine Ecology and Conservation (University of Algarve). He is a Junior

Researcher at the Center for Marine Sciences on seagrass, algae and gorgonian ecology, genetics,

monitoring and restoration. He is managing the Scientific Dive Center at CCMAR were he is the

Diving Safety Officer. He is a SCUBA instructor for multiple SCUBA dive agencies such as PADI, SSI,

CMAS, GUE and the vice president of the Portuguese Association of Scientific Divers. Diogo is a

Invited Assistant Professor at the University of Algarve on disciplines related with scientific diving,

providing students with adequate tools for underwater research. Diogo has supported and act as a

trainer in multiple research activities, expeditions, citizen projects and thematic courses.
