CCMAR é o único parceiro português em dois projetos europeus de Aquacultura

O Centro de Ciências do Mar (CCMAR) é parceiro em dois grandes projetos, financiados pela União Europeia, através de fundos H2020, o PerformFISH e o MedAID. Ambos os projetos serão desenvolvidos por equipas do CCMAR, durante os próximos quatro e cinco anos, respetivamente.

A research team from CCMAR is carrying out two important workpackages, that are considered very important for the european aquaculture project: medAID.

In the context of Science for Business, CCMAR received a delegation from Portugal Ventures on 7th of December, 2018.

Our Doctor Ana Ramalho concluded her thesis, with the maximum qualification, about Farmed fish as a functional food: fortification strategies with health valuable compounds.

The girl's movers, Cláudia and Isilda, came to meet women who inspire them in the area of marine sciences and learn about the work developed by CCMAR researchers.

Between the 6^th and 18^th of December 9 students of the Master in Marine Biology will defend their thesis.

This study shows that the application of dietary supplementation of natural antioxidants extracts in Senegalese sole larvae diets has improved their growth performance.

Leonor Ferrão and Diogo Dias carried out their master's thesis at CCMAR's AQUAGROUP and won the award "Merit MSc Fellowship in the academic year of 2019/2020".

The inclusion of plant ingredients (such as soy) in fish diets is increasing. However, these diets are limited in the amino acid methionine and require supplementation to fulfil fish nutritional needs.

In this programme, our researcher explains how her group contributes to the reduction of food waste by reusing mussels wasted by industry in aquaculture.
