Our aim is to investigate the processes that regulate marine plant production at different organizational levels: molecular, plant, community and ecosystem. Knowledge on these processes is instrumental to understand the role of marine vegetation in the structure and functioning of coastal systems and to assess the impacts of human-induced disturbances including climate change. Our scientific output is expected to contribute to the valuation, management and conservation of the ecological services of vegetated coastal systems.

O dia foi implementado com o objetivo de alertar os governos para a valorização e conservação das pradarias de ervas marinhas no mundo inteiro.
A Julia iniciou o seu doutoramento no CCMAR onde irá testar novas tecnologias para a reconstrução das pradarias de ervas marinhas portuguesas. Bem-vinda à equipa!
Este foi o título de uma ação de formação para professores da pré-escolar e do 1º e 2º ciclo, organizada pelos nossos investigadores dos projetos SEAGHORSE e Blue Forests Education.
Os interessados têm até dia 28 de outubro para adquirir um dos 154 painéis e contribuir, desta forma, para a conservação destes importantes habitats
A nossa investigadora Carmen Santos faz parte da organização desta Escola de Verão e irá lecionar o módulo sobre Carbono Azul.
O Javier juntou-se ao grupo Marine Plant Ecology, onde vai desenvolver o seu doutoramento no âmbito do projeto PRR Vertical Macroalgas. Bem-vindo à equipa!
